crystal clear in their
interlocking colors, bright-eyed
and rambunctious, they
dance among the stars
leaping as if
out of a dark
screen to illuminate
the faces of a
thousand watchers,
a beaming audience
transformed normalcy
to radiance as
the dancers reach
toward the moon, singing
their own crackling
chorus before
exploding into
dusty
satisfaction
