wave riders
crabs scuttle across
moon-lemoned sand
as seaweed writhes--serpants
beneath the waves. we search
for footprints in
slushwashed grit
beneath our naked
adventurous feet. we climb
dunes and dark
architectual cities,
animals, wonders formed
by wave and rock. we inhale
humid fishwarmed
salt while our hands
tangle--awkwardly
splashing each other
before a dog howls
to the moon
and we draw our breathes
deep, our eyes
mutual reflections. we
rush toward the
withdrawing daylight
current, washed
away we are
riding our voyage, the
wave our
beginning.
