Man

Man
I am a part of the nature of things,
A part of the universe.
I am but a speck of cosmic dust,
Bound to the earth.
I am insignificant, an atom in the whole structure,
I live and breathe.
To complete the cycle of life,
No more important than any other creature.
Yet, I am majestic, a wonder to behold,
Unique and motivated.
I am larger than any world,
Than the very Cosmos.
The Universe is part of me,
I am indispensable, for without me,
The structure would be out of balance.
For I bring order to Chaos.
Time revolves around me, for I am the present.
The future belongs to me.
The past is mine also,
For others only share a small part of it with me.
As worlds collide, as the rain falls,
So I go on, a shadow of the past,
In someone else's future.
I am larger than the body I inhabit.
All carry the same weight I carry,
For we are one.
The worlds united, one being.
Yet, I am unseen and unheard.
I bear the pain of war, of birth,
I cry the tears of sorrow felt by all,
I feel anger as the world is destroyed,
By me...man.
