Re Evolution

Behold! The lightning strikes the earth,
Lighting up the sky like Zeus.
Earth cracks open and arises,
The demon of evil and darkness.
Terror everywhere and fright;
God says from heaven,
"Humans, thou did it and
thou shall repay,
just see your mother's plight!"

Mother Earth weeping, bonded
By chains of hatred, says
"My sons, what have you done
to me!" she cries;
as the clouds darken the skies.
Her lovely face vanishes and
forms nothing but God again.
"Mankind, thou hast failed in your duty,
My efforts are all in vain!"
Suddenly, as it had all started,
Everything stops, even the wind.
Till there is nothing any more.

The earth has become its baby self again,
And reptiles creep on it once more.
God trods upon it and creates humans again,
hoping that this time he will succeed.

Hoping that this time mankind will
destroy the enmity, the loathing, and develop.
Develop the reach of their mind and keep
their oath to eternity. To reach the end
of evolution in the future and
maintain the mirth of their mother.
