Maths (revised)

Blue sky through grey glass,
grey glass reflected in blue eyes.
A turquoise talent from yesterday to tomorrow.
A video for amateurs and derelicts.
Flickering radiation.
Pages by moonlight,
faces by strobe light.
Viewed in single frames
Australia to Hastings and home.
Footsteps, a size four/five on the stairs,
imaginations echo.
A half empty bed where once I played a fraction.
Vulgar maths, where the answer always wants for more.
An additional factor, or
a change in the weather.
The present left unwrapped.
Storm breaking overhead.
The sound of feet running for cover.
Doorways, winos, drunk and drowning men
hiding bodies from the torent.
I join, no fee, no card, no name to remember.
Rain filled ears that don't want to hear.
No big wheels, no private gun club.
Just moonbeams, waiting for the big one.
