A Light at the End of the Tunnel
What do you see when,
The shimmer you're chasing blinds your next step,
And you're left in the darkness,
Of radiance?
What do you feel when,
The earth's convulsions grow violent,
And the breeze on your semblance,
Is a tempest?
What do you hear when,
You heed the melodic undertones,
Of enthralling whispers in,
Deafening roars?
What do you smell when,
The memory of her scent is masked,
By the sweeter aroma,
Choking your lungs?
What do you taste when,
A smile burrows its way to your lips,
As the life that you've splintered,
Exhales at last?
