Knowing The Thing

You are a lava lamp in my chest
The gloop travelling up and down
Now, I might explode with love
Or I might fade to black
Sometimes my eyes pass over the moon at night,
I can see it out of the window,
above where the sea lives;
it’s upstairs neighbour that glows.
Now, I move through the day
Knowing
Sometimes fumbling, clumsy
But always,
Knowing
That I knew you before
You existed in the past
present and future,
You are knowing,
Intrinsic,
Knowing
Ghosts and ghouls are
Not The Thing
Knowing you,
Is
The Thing.

Neighbours
Would it be the baby that you're talking about here?
Whoever it is, it's a lovely poem. I like the bit about the moon being the upstairs neighbour.

Slowing down
Unfortunately there are very few people who do slow down to take in the good things that are around them. To some, just sitting down to spend time having a good old think is considered time wasted, but in reality it’s the complete opposite.
