Serious or not?

You would think it simple to see if a guy, you've known for ages was
seriously interested in you in a more than friend way. I wish it
was.

I've known Rob for a year and I know him so well. I thought he was the
best friend I could ever have. We talk on the phone every day.

About two weeks ago he started asking what I was wearing, at first I
thought nothing of it. Now he wants to know more about how I look and
flirts with me. The thing is he likes to joke around. I'm not sure if
he's seriously wants to date me or if he's just messing about. My
friends say if I like him, as in fancy him I should go for it with him.
I think he's great and he looks really nice but I don't want to make a
fool of myself and find out he was only kidding.

What's a girl to do?
