About a war

So, who watched the Oscars Sunday night? Not a whole lot of people,
I hear. Lowest rated in history. Ouch. I wonder if that says anything
about this little anti-war movement going on. It does, in fact.
The low ratings proved that the United States (and the world, to some
extent) realizes that this anti-war movement isn't really an anti-war
movement, at least not anymore. It's not about pacifism or loving thy
neighbor anymore, as it very well may have started out.
It seems that the only people out there on the streets protesting
military action against Iraq aren't out there to oppose military action
against Iraq. More often than not, they are anti-America (admit it,
there are way too many of those, especially in the US), anti-George W.
Bush (read the Constitution, you boneheads, he won fair and square), or
anti-capitalist (and they're just crazy).
I don't mean to generalise. Not every protester is one of those things.
There are decent people who genuinely want a peaceful solution to this
crisis. However, are these people the ones who attack police officers,
get arrested by the scores, and advocate civil disobedience, yet think
George W. Bush is Milo Minderbinder and Tommy Franks is Jack D. Ripper?
Are the decent people the ones who blame America and capitalism in
general for every problem that ever occurs in this world?
No. And that's why America and the (very large) Coalition of the
Willing has ignored these protests. Because the protesters want nothing
more fifteen minutes of fame and the destruction of the United States
as far as being a superpower is concerned. That is why George W. Bush
and his Administration have ignored CNN, the SAG, Peter Jennings,
Martin Sheen, Mike Farrell, and all the other socialist hoodlums who
think they know what's going on in the world.
And the American people aren't listening much either. Almost
three-quarters of the US supports military action. They see right
through those protesters, and they see right through what's wrong with
Saddam Hussein.
They see him for what he is; a ruthless sub-human dictator who would
kill every single human in the democratic world (pro-war or anti-war)
if he had the chance. They see a monster with weapons of mass
destruction, a madman who has tried to commit genocide on his own
people. They see an animal who hates the civilized world much like the
Ku Klux Klan hates blacks and Catholics, because we exist. And that is
why he must be deposed and disarmed.
To the pro-action (or should I say pro-freedom of the Iraqi people)
people out there, keep the faith, stay strong, and hope for victory and
liberation.
To the anti-America, anti-Bush, and anti-capitlaist people, save your
words for another time. We're not really listening to you. Because we
can see right through you.
