The Wedding Morn
In nomine, patris et filii,
Spiritus sancti;
Like brute beasts that hath no understanding.
I wonder what he'll be like in bed,
Now that we're married?
Will it be the same slow fuck,
That we've laid each other back
With lately? Or a return
To the energy of former days;
With fevered flesh and skimpy clothes, torn
Off each other, in those hungriest of lays.
Will I end up lying there,
Reading about the orgasmic male?
As my man puffs and stutters,
Fit for a guest appearance
On the mortuary slab; before
I so much as sigh or flick
A page in search of the perfect lover?
And will he still have life enough to say,
(In the event of a passionate lay);
'And now will you do the washing up?'
Or is married life one long boring fuck?
