Keep getting getting older for me
I try not to think of what you did to me,
Clench my teeth and say, 'I'm okay,'
And fate and I think that revenge,
Can wait just one more little day,
I find myself forgiving,
I'll carry on living,
My life on my own,
But I know I'm not alone
Because as we've grown older,
The anger hasn't got colder,
Just softer and warmer at heart,
So if we are smart,
We might just be friends,
Someone that lends,
A helping hand,
And as planned,
You understand,
We can live our lives happily,
So keep growing older for me.
