That grace!

That grace! Hands clasped behind you in inverted prayer,
exactly balanced on your skates, you sweep across the frozen
pond.
I was in awe of how you mastered air, ice and muscle
while you sped into this other world.
In mufflers on the verge, tottering on new-found feet,
I yearned to join you.
Later, a deckchair placed precisely in the shade, you
took the sun in moderation. 'Everything', you said,
'in moderation'. And so, in sour revenge, it was a 'massive'
heart attack that dragged you off into that other world.
I prefer you solitary on ice. Cold, and alone, your
absence was a comfort then.
