Pink Tinge

Of all the beautiful things in this world, there is nothing that can
compare to the beauty that you radiate.
I walk slowly along in the rain.
A light drizzle.
Walking to meet you under the streetlight.
A pain in my fingers and hands I ignore.
You are worth it.
I see you in the light, magnificent yellow cascading down onto you from
above.
In front of you now.
I kiss you, and as I do, I slip the stem of a long, red rose into your
hand.
It slides through your elegant fingers with the utmost ease.
It doesn't tear your pretty hands. It doesn't leave any marks on your
fingers.
I have already de~thorned it. I did so before I came to you.
You put the rose to your cheek and tilt your head to the side.
The sweetest smile plays on your lips.
When you pull the rose away it leaves a pink trail of my blood on your
face.
Pink tinge on the palest of skin.
A rubie that sparkles wildly from the middle of a bed of
diamonds.
I kiss you again.......all the while leaving my bleeding fingers in my
jacket pocket.
