I Dream Sometimes

I dream sometimes of how we might look.
Waiting at Bus stops, waiving bus passes.
What we'll say,
as we help each other up the stairs.
Or if when we close our eyes and hold each other,
We will feel the same?
What will we think of the world we've grown old in?
Will we out stay our welcome for as long as I hope?
Will our teeth spend the night at our bedside?
beside our telegraphs from the king.
Will we be as excited as children on pension day?
Or look forward to Christmas.
How much faster will the years pass?
How much slower will we dance on anniversaries?
What will our old hands feel like when we hold them?
Will I'll always pick you fresh flowers for your Birthday.
Will our house will be filled with happy memories.
Will your eyes still shine brightly on dark winter days.
And later,
will we be a shooting star to wish upon.
Or rays of Springs new light.
Two butterflies that children chaise.
I dream sometimes we might.
