22. PERUGIA
we speak in
different tongues,
a constant battle
against
confusion.
a battle often
won,
seldom
lost.
I found you in
the Umbrian
darkness,
shivering in my
heat,
numb to my
touch,
timid to my
eye.
your dark eyes
danced along
the dry
road,
opening
wider and
wider,
forcing my
lips to
stretch.
a freak
of kindness
on a mission
of theft.
you have
stolen all
four
chambers.
keep them
I have had
them long
enough anyway.
