I Feel Her Rhythm

As we stand in the cold stealing our warmth,
Her body press'd hard to mine,
Her eyes appear unfathomable,
Her smile shines and shatters shaddows.
I feel Her heartbeat so close to mine
And they shout the same silent song.

All at once I am conscious of all She is,
Sensitive
To every part of Her that brushes against me.

This one thuds harder,
It's thump echoes farther.
It carries more consequence,
More substance,
More life.

It pumps the passion

To fill the lungs

To take the breath

To say the words
"I love you".
