I Bleed Too

By Richard L. Provencher

Fri, 06 May 2011
  • 736 reads

The grass has sharp edges like a scythe
leaning, chasing
me in my journeying

and the sky is a shudder
of electric fire,
anger in its storming.

I hurry to win
the day, my steps seeking
and I bleed passion---

memories as shadows
