the cool gently rain
hitting my window
brings a calm
to a busy day
got the fan on
blowing away
the heat
of the day

gently the relaxing music i hear
make me unwine
of the rush of the day
sit and think
about things that have been
make me want to sleep
hearing that rain
hitting hard
drops runing
down the glass
pavenments are all wet
make me want to escape
and get away
to a far off place

the peace of the day
the world can rush
spin around
a million times
a day
but for now
for this moment
in the calm
of this day
i hear the rain
hitting my
window
again
i have found
peace
calm
as i dream away
hearing the rain
