Dead Gods of Causality

Science and the churches pray to gods of causality
This thing happens, then that
The gods say we should plan
With a little effort and know-how we can reach paradise
Yet the children dying of starvation could be me
And businessmen lose their jobs through no fault of their own
I was only born myself because of entropy
And I will die by the same hand
And we will all die by the same hand
Because the only barrier between lives is luck
So excuse me if I don't care about mine
Everything that I build can be taken away
Everything I love could be taken away
Still, we wake up each day
And we build and love and assume the state of our lives are the product of our own hard work and the hands of the gods
For example
I fed my bird but he died of the flu
I feed myself but one day I’ll die too
No endeavor will thrive forever, no matter how well fed.
If Nietzsche taught me anything, causality is dead
