Satin. Part Two.

My daughter Meghan set me up recently on a fantastic, on-line site, where I can sell my things and buy beautiful things at a bargain price. This has stopped me going to my favourite shop, TKMaxx, where I used to spend far too much, but with this site, I can look on my phone, and simply click on the item I want to buy, having read the fantastic review of the feedback of the seller. This site has no bidding, so the item you see, will never go higher. I love it.
It is very well organized, and the post is unbelievably low, or zero! I don’t know how the company makes a profit.
But as good as this site is, nothing is perfect! I have found this out recently.
I bought a lovely leather jacket, I love leather! As soon as the seller posts it, I get a notification that it is on its way. When it arrives, I then have three days to collect it, from wherever they have decided to send it, depending on the delivery company they choose.
This jacket was special, for the price was excellent, their feedback was also excellent and it was fast delivery.
We are all given a barcode, so that we can show the shop, or post office or scan at one of those horrible metal boxes, that have sprung up everywhere.
I had a notification that my wonderful leather jacket had arrived, I looked to see where it was and to my horror, it had been sent 86 miles away from my Town! There was no way, I was going to travel 86 miles away to pick up from the post office, something that had cost me a few pounds!
I notified the seller, then I notified the company, over the next few days, I rang the delivery company, wasting 30 minutes of my life, I will not get back, for I still didn’t get to speak to anyone, some companies they are just too big, they don’t closedown, because they are too big, to close down, us the little people, mean nothing to them, so what if I was kept waiting for 30 minutes or more, listening to stupid music, and daft messages. I eventually downloaded their app to try and find my item, as a last resort, but it was sadly, still 86 miles away, waiting for me to collect it, from the metal box where it was. There was no human to speak to, just basic, waste of time nonsense! It was very frustrating. We now live in a world, where there is no communication, just dummy robots!
I went back to the post office, the nice staff was unable to help, they were in the same boat as myself, for I had done what they have asked to, “Ring up and download the app.”
I contacted the company, to let them know, but they too, has become SO big, that they can’t even communicate to us, they use a robot instead, tis a sad world.
I don’t know where my lovely leather jacket is, as far as I know it is still 86 miles away, for it has not informed me that it has been sent back to the seller.
So, today I have asked for a full refund, this is not a win-win, it is not the seller’s fault. Maybe it has been stolen, by the delivery driver, these crooks they are always one step ahead, of things, and new schemes to take what is not theirs, 86 miles aways is far out of my reach, it always takes a while for the fraud people to cotton on to the latest things, that the crooks do.
For me, it is too late.
