The Sunset

Oh see, how radiance so great
Our world, it does humble make.
To the eye untrained in wonder's ways
No eye save that of God remains.
For our sleeping planet rests at peace
Resplendant mid the stars of this -
Glorious bliss; the sun does slowly die.
As once more the heavens with blood deny,
Power held by the devil, through man,
No more can snatch, in evil, his hand.
Withered beneath sunset's fiery glow,
The truth of God does outshine woe.
Turn; look heavenward, my friend, delight,
Know you no more, fear or flight.
In blood the heavens weep no more.
Calm night, the realm of peace, adore.
Promise of the return, your light
Endurance in faith, new life.
