Circle of Fate

Stuck in a endless circle,
A Celtic knot of sorts,
Where attitude determines fate,
Yet situations complicate.
When attitude is based on events,
Events, which cause despair and lament
It leads to a mind that's filled with hate.
That attitude then causes pain,
For, with such a mindset, there is no gain.
The goals of life then slip away.
And you are the only one left to pay.
To change that fate, means changing your heart,
And, yet when tried,
In hate you stay mired.
For when all the actions you take are complete,
And the result is more pain,
What is the use in trying again
So until death unravels the knot,
Hate and despair is all that you've got.
