that isn't a man.

I bet that you sat with girls in the cafeteria at lunch time
that the other guys used to talk behind your back
say you were gay that you were a momma's boy
that your mom always took you with her to every Tupperware party
and made you come with her to AA meetings.

I bet that you never thought anything about sex
until you were at least 16 or 17
and even then, with the utmost respect for us.
You didn't even try for home base if you hadn't made first
Nor can you comprehend how NO could not mean NO

You can enter a room with a bunch of guys
and talk about football over beer
and then walk back into the kitchen and talk with the girls
about their nails.

You are such a wonder, a real cracker jack prize
when I eat to the bottom, pull you out and unwrap you
will you be as cool as I imagine you to be?
