An Innocent Love.
I need an innocent love
A child like romance
Where intrigue and insecurity
And the games that follow,
Don't impede on pure adoration.
Expectations,
Or the lack of,
Are the downfalls of any relationship.
I recall on one particular occasion,
The expectations I had of a woman ,
Were never to be returned
Or even demolished,
Or abhorred
The lowly contract,
I perceived could be reciprocated,
Was never to be recognised or realised
And respect was never mutual,
even now I will not admit,
that the entirety of my love,
was always to be
unknown to the ignorant.
I need an innocent love,
I am lucky enough to bare
But unfortunate to sit
on a rocking chair made of wood.
I play, back and forth,
On a guitar poorly tuned
And badly remembered because,
This guitar has too many memories,
imprinted on its wood.
