West to East - a mini-saga

When I left, she was twice my age.
I travelled far and long.
In America's cities,
I squandered my innocence.
In India, I discovered humility.
Tibet gave me peace.
And across Africa's desolate plains,
I heard the true rhythm of my heart.
And so I returned.
And she was younger.
