1 The Child
Let her sleep,
don't disturb her,
let her be!
Our worn hearts
can never recover
what, dreaming,
she can see.
It's too early
to rouse her,
let her be.
2 My Daughter And A Tree
I will plant a tree.
that will outlast us both.
My age is no match
against a stripling tree;
it's possible, though,
that you might see
its full grown canopy
through eyes grown dim.
I, by then, will live only
in your memory.
