Forgot that he was here, just focused on stroking her hair and
The feeling of being careful, the feeling of loving another person

I would give everything
To be normal, and to have
A lifetime of loving someone ahead of me.

Thank you two! It's a bit oddly laid out (esp. with capitals, very unlike my style) but it made sense to me. I wrote this about a friend who I have an extensive past with, and a lot of underlying emotion. It was also all the more out of character from me because I wrote it when I was actively suicidal. It's an older piece; I found it on my phone when I was going through old notes.
