It wouldn’t be too bad if the G8 countries actually kept their promises - which they never do! The biggest con trick is carbon offsetting where they put a new hat on the head of the aid that they were already committed to giving. Claiming it is to pay other countries to reduce smoking when in fact either they have to cut down anyway because of the global economic crisis or they couldn’t afford to smoke in the first place.
