Half an Hour Romance

A long line of passengers,all were waiting for getting train tickets.it had been already 1.45 p.m.
So there was still 15 minutes left for opening up the ticket counter.I cursed myself for comming so late to railway reservation counter.Had I come as early as 10.30 am. I would have taken the ticket within 5 minutes of waiting in the queue ! I was restless & feeling suffocation due to the high temperature of the day.I was looking around to pass time.Infront of me there stood,some young men,all university students.I remembered that Iwas standing in the Railway reservation counter,which was itself situated in the University campus. As it was already past 1.30 p.m.classes must be closed for the day.
I looked behind my line.After a couple of people,stood two beautiful girls,aged must not had above 25.When I looked first at them,both were standing apart & seemed not knowing eachother.Both were smiling ,inspite of waiting for half an hour at the counter.
I could not look towards them for more than 2 minutes,as all the waiting passengers inthe queue ware looking towards me.After a few minutes I again looked backward & found that two girls wre engeged in some serious discussions.This time in spite of public gazing I looedtowards my back constantly for 5 minutes.The younger girl who was standing behind the older one & was directly looking towards me,as she was talking to the other girl looking forward. Oh she smiled while looking towards me ! I knew she must had marked the constant gazing of mine .I was thrilled. After a few minutes ,when it was 2 p.m. the ticket counter was opened.Suddenly there was a huge huddle infront of the counter.I had to look forward to know my position in the queue ! I found a few new people in front of me. Suddenly I found a hand tapping on my back.I looked back & saw the older girl asking me, the cause of new rush infront of me! I felt delighted.In the mean time I found the younge girl was now busy in talking
with a young man.I was in jealous.Mighyt be her lover. But that man was not before.
A new found love or a formal talking.I wanted to listen to there talking ! So I lost my interest in talking with the older girl.Perhaps within a few minutes she had understood
that fact & stopped talking to me.Meanwhile I found that my tern had come & I made my reservation ticket.I looked back towards the queue.The younger girl was still talking with that young man.The older one had found an interest in a young man,who wasstood just behind me.My purpose of getting ticket was over,so there was no point in standing there anylonger.And with that my half an romance came to an end!
