"Ha ha ha. Look at them, don't they know resistance is futile? How
dare they try to overpower me! I know and they know that I will be
victorious. All they are trying to do is to fight me. They are so
foolish for wanting peace, aren't they Rygel?" asked a small boy, who
was twisted his blood red hair around this finger.
"Lyre, there is nothing foolish about wanting peace," retorted a
monster - like man, Rygel. The boy and the man were each sitting in
front of a grant window looking onto a mass riot.
"I think ruling Earth will be fun after all," the little boy started
to giggle and dangle his feet over the chair, "If they only knew what
was in store or them. Ha ha."
Rygel looked behind his shoulder to look at a tall door, "Company
master. I will handle this." Rygel got out of his seat and faced the
door, while Lyre got out a watch. Then the door busted open and six men
walked in.
"We are here to kill the king!" barked one of the men holding a very
large gun. Then Rygel lunged toward the man and took out a small knife
from under his belt. With one quick movement Rygel had dashed pass the
man the strike his side. The man dropped to the floor holding his side
as blood poured out. Three man attacked Rygel out at once, with an
almost graceful movement he had grabbed each of they and hurled them
toward a wall, were they lay knocked out. Rygel squared off the two
remaining opponents. One made a mad dashed toward Rygel, then Rygel
trusted his legs out and the man ran full force into Rygel, his rib
cage broke on impact to Rygel foot. While Rygel was trying to get his
foot free from his opponent's rib cage the other man pulled out a gun
and pointed it toward Lyre. Rygel remembered his knife and flung the
blade at the assassin. The blade struck him in the middle of the
eyes.
"2 minutes and 36 seconds, one death. Rygel you are getting better,"
said Lyre as he put away his watch. "Shall we be leaving?" Lyre got out
of his seat and walked toward Rygel, and they both walked off together,
bodyguard and his master.
"Lyre, wake up. We will be entering Davin City in ten minutes,"
whispered Rygel as he poked Lyre in the stomach with his massive
hands.
"Very well." Lyre poked and looked around to see if any people were
around so he and Rygel could talk in private. "So, no one's here. Let
us refresh the plan in our heads one more time. When we enter Davin
City I while stumble off the train because of my wound. They rushed me
to the hospital with no security remaining on the train. That leaves
you to go into Minster Havi's tramcar and kill him. Then I will receive
everything he ones, including the Western Hemisphere. Got it?"
"Yes master," said Rygel. They waited for ten minutes to pass and to
hear the scrap of the brakes.
"Show time, give me your knife." Rygel handed Lyre his knife with a
look of fear on his face. Lyre then took the knife and jabbed the blade
into his side. "Ah!"
"Young Master is hurt!" yelled Rygel. A man ran in and looked at Rygel
who was holding Lyre in his arms.
"What happened?" asked the man as he got Lyre on a rolling service
cart.
"An assassin came from the other tram car and throw a knife at Lyre. I
had no time to stop it." He and the man pushed Lyre out off the train
were Lyre was rushed to hospital. The other security officers were
looking for the 'assassin.' This meant the front of the train was not
guarded.
Rygel advanced a couple of tram car until he found Minster Havi's
tramcar. The Minster was sleeping soundly with no knowledge of what was
to happen. Rygel pulled out a bottle from his coat, poison. Rygel put
some poison on a piece of cloth; he then covered the cloth over Minster
Havi's month. The Minster fell into a deeper sleep, one he would never
awake from.
Rygel got off the train and put on his sunglasses, and walked away.
Lyre was now the ruler of all the space habits and now Earth's Western
Hemisphere. "Master was right, ruling the Earth will be fun." Rygel
then reached into his pocket and pulled out a box with a small button
on it, he pressed the button the train blew apart into a fiery
inferno.
"How is the young master?" Rygel asked a doctor as he waited outside
Lyre's hospital room.
"He is doing fine, he is about to be released from the Hospital. It
was a good thing you got him here quickly."
"Did you tell him about Minster Havi's death?"
"No, we thought if you put him into shock, knowing that Minster Havi
was like a father to him. Poor kid, his real parents and now this. You
are they only person he has."
The doctor let Rygel into Lyres room so they could talk.
"Mission completed."
"Well down Rygel, now it's my turn to have some fun," said Lyre as he
got out of his Hospital gown and put on a suit. "I must look good for
Minster Laden."
"Master are you sure you are up to the job, what about your
wound."
"It was all fake Rygel. Fake blood, even the Hospital staff was in on
it."
"Your knowledge has amazed me one more time."
"Why can't I do it Lyre?"
"If you must know, after the assassination of Minster Havi, Minster
Laden will be well guarded. I will be able to get in due to the fact
that I am royalty; if you were to go in it would be too questionable.
By the time they figured out that I killed the Minster it will be too
late."
"All this doesn't make sense."
"It will in time, it will. Now, I am off to see the Minster. Wish me
luck." Lyre opened his door slowly due to the fact that he wasn't
released from the hospital yet, but it would be cleared by Rygel after
he had left. Lyre moved quickly and silently down the hallway. He moved
as silent as a tiger stalking his prey. He made his way out of the
Hospital.
Lyre now picked up his pace sense he knew there would someone looking
for him. He made his way to a small park were he had made a plan to
meet someone. He looked until his eyes made contact with a tall, lean,
blond woman, Lilly.
"Lyre, glad to see you're in good health. I thought I heard a rumor
about you getting stabbed," said the woman as she moved gently toward
Lyre.
"Lilly. Don't you know what they say about rumors? When will our right
be getting here?" asked Lyre as he straightened his tie.
"Any second. Now Lyre, are you sure you can handle Minster Laden?"
That instance a black limousine pulled up next to Lilly and Lyre. A
small man climbed out of the driver seat and opened the door for Lilly
and Lyre.
"Lilly, when I am King I will need a Queen. Will you be mine?" asked
Lyre as they got into the limousine and drove off.
"I wouldn't be thinking about that now. I would concentrate on the job
ahead, King Lyre."
Lyre thought inside his head, "King Lyre. Nice. King Lyre and Queen
Lilly does have a nice ring to it. Yeah. Soon this dream will come
true."
"We will be reaching Minster Laden's resort soon," said the driver as
he took at turn, "I am going to ask you to put these on." The driver
was holding a pair of blindfolds; Lyre and Lilly put on the blindfolds.
"You can take them off now," said the driver after a few minutes. Lyre
took off his blindfold to look at the landscape. They had arrived at a
massive resort.
Lyre looked at Lilly who just took off her blindfold. He nodded toward
her. She pulled out a gun and placed it on the back of the driver head,
"Please do as I ask. If there are any questions from you, you will die.
Understand?"
"Yes."
"Okay, I want you to pull to drive to the top of the hill." The drive
did as he was told and drove onto of a hill that overlooked the estate.
Lyre got out and looked around, while Lilly took care of the driver,
"Thank you. By the way, die." Click. Lilly pulled the trigger and a
bullet priced his skull. She got out off the car and told Lyre to go on
without her and that she would be waiting for him; she then threw him a
bag.
Lyre opened the bag to find: a mask, a rope, a knife, and five small
bombs. He put on the mask and started toward the castle. He made a
makeshift grappling hook with the rope and the knife. He started to
scale one of the wall of the massive house; he made his way to the
roof.
At the top, he took apart the grappling hook. He took the rope and
tied it to a brick so he could make quick descend and exit. Lyre
started to walk around silently until he found a window. He took the
knife and tried to cut a whole in the glass, but he thought that the
knife breaking the glass could make to much noise. He had to think of a
way to get in without make any noise. He had it; he took the knife and
started to chip of shingles off the roof until he got to a bear
roof.
He stabbed the knife into the roof and made a cut just big enough to
fit a shingle into the slot. He did this on four more side to make a
square with shingles between it and the roof. He then stuck his knife
trough the square and started to gently move in downward. Lyre looked
at the hole in the roof think it would be easily fixed.
He moseyed do the small hole and landed perfectly on a one inch beam;
the beam looked to be one of the rafters of the main room. Lyre looked
at the small beam; he slowly made his way across the beam and shimmied
half way down the wall. He saw five guards protecting a door.
"Guards, damn it. I thought they would easy up on the security this
deep into the building. Time to make a little distraction." Lyre
reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the five bombs. He lit
the bomb and though it down a hallway hoping the guards would go check
out what it was. Guards started to flock through all the doors on the
perimeter of the room. "Great, there was five and now there is fifty."
Lyre started to make his descent into the main room. When he landed he
made quickly ran to one empty doorway.
"Time to improvise." Lyre looked around to find a cloth with a crest
on it hanging on the wall. He pulled off his mask and the wall
covering, and then draped it over himself. With his head held high and
his eyes closed he entered the center of the main room. He could hear
the guards ready their guns, now probably pointing at him.
"It's King Lyre, guns down men. King Lyre, we weren't expecting
you."
"I am sorry, but if my visit was announced any assassin would know
were I was. I thought I would be safe with Minster Laden's and my
security staff protecting this building." Lyre started to walk to the
heavy guarded door where Minster Laden waited.
A solider step in front of Lyre and said," I am General Vegka, I will
have to perform at quick check to insure Minster Laden's safety." Lyre
quickly felt his pocket to his the remaining bombs and knife, they
would surely be found.
Lyre started to talk to himself under his breath, "Damn it! What am I
supposed to do? I can't take the all on. Rygel couldn't even. Wait
there is only one way, but way too risky. It's my only chance." Lyre
unfastened the bag with the knife and bombs in it. Lyre threw the bag
up inside of his cloak and turned around quickly, making the bag fall
beside were he caught it. He slowly moved toward the wall not to drop
it. He faced the General and raised his hands with the bag pinned
between him and the wall. Lyre did the same thing again but held the
bag with his stomach and the wall when he checked from behind. He was
cleared and made his way to the Minster's room.
"Oh, Lyre. Can you take the Minster's food in."
"Hmm&;#8230; Gladly."
"Thanks," said the General as he pushed a trolley toward Lyre.
Lyre took the trolley and started thinking; "This can help me. Ah... I
know." In one quick movement Lyre took out a bomb from his bag and
opened it up. He pulled on some wires and twisted some wires together.
He then put the bomb into the soup, "Five minuets."
"Minster, It is I King Lyre. After the recent attack on Minster Havi's
life my officers told me I would be safe here. I brought your
dinner."
"King Lyre. Ah, who are you? Oh soup." The Minster ate the soup
quickly and the bomb.
Lyre thought, "Four minuets."
"So, why are you trying to kill me?"
"What?"
"You herd my didn't you?"
"Yes."
"Well tell me then, why are you trying to kill me."
"If you must know. If you die I will control the Earth by my
birthright, and I would control the entire space colony community.
Thus, letting me control all. I then have another plan but why could I
waste your time. Three minuets."
"Hmm&;#8230;An eight year-old trying to take over all. In your
heart you know you will never win. Guards!" That very instance the door
busted open will tons of guards. "Gentle men, will you please show King
Lyre out. It fell like resting."
"Yes. This way King Lyre," said General Vegka as he gave the Minster a
strange glare, as he knew what was going on.
Lyre returned to the main room where only one guard was left, "You
there. Come here." The guard made his way toward Lyre. When Lyre was
face to face with the guard he punched him in the face, he was knocked
out. Lyre propped the guard on the wall. He ripped the Minster's
official crest off of the man's arm and pulled of his headgear. He took
the man's gun and took off the safety. He opened the door to the
Minster's room and shoved the man in and pulled his finger over the
trigger; bullets started to shot out.
"He is an assassin! Get the Minster out NOW!!!!" roared General Vegka
when he saw the man firing. General Vegka got down on his knees and got
his gun ready. "Put your gun down now or I will shot!" The knocked-out
man's finger was stuck around the trigger; he was unable to stop.
General Vegka took the safety off his gun and got up. He opened fired
on the man aiming for his head. He still wouldn't stop firing. General
Vegka had the knock over the man some how, but he couldn't get to
close. He reached for the side of his leg where his shotgun rested. He
took out the shotgun and put in a round of bullets, "Die, damn it!"
General Vegka stood up in line of fire and shot the man. He shot all of
his bullets before he even heard the sound of his first bullet shell
hitting the ground.
The man now was lying on the floor. General Vegka got up and looked at
the man closely; he realized that he'd shot down one of his own men. He
looked over his shoulder to see the other guards standing around the
Minster. In his mind he put two and two together. He looked at the
floor near the Minster were a small black bag was laid.
"MEN! GET AWAY NOW, DAMN IT!" There was a bright flash and an
explosion near all the guards and the Minster. The Minster and the
guards were all dead, except General Vegka.
Lyre was now outside patching up the hole. He climbed down the rope
and tugged on it so no evince would point at him. He found his way back
to meet Lilly, but Rygel was waiting for him.
"Mission completed?" asked Rygel as he got into the abandoned
limousine.
"Mission completed."
"Where to?"
"The World United Congress."
"What will we do there?"
"Clam the Earth, what else?"
Lyre and Rygel entered a large building with all the nation's flag
hanging outside. Lyre entered and went to an elevator, and was taken to
the main conference room where all the leader were gathered to consult
the law to stop assassin groups do to Minster Havi's death. Lyre was
noted to make a speech about assassins and taking over the Western
Hemisphere.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sure you all understand why you are here.
In recent events of Minster Havi's demise the issues of assassin have
been provoked. This menace is unseen and can take anyone. I even had a
close encounter this morning, the same time as Minster Havi's death. We
can't dwell in fear anyone; we will live and demolish assassination
acts. Before we have total peace, we must kill the organization that
has been responsible for over all assassination the last fifty years,
The Lyaski Foundation. I have assembled a plan that will be revealed
soon to stop The Lyaski Foundation.
In our next order of business, I will address my act to inherit the
Earth's Western Hemisphere."
"Wait, King Lyre!" A man came jogging out with a slip of paper; "I
have some important news about Minster Laden!" Lyre took the slip of
paper and read it to himself. His eyes widen as though he had no
knowledge of what the slip said.
Minster Laden was murdered savagely with a bomb that exploded from
inside of his stomach. All of his guards were killed also by small
bombs place in the room. There was only one survivor, General Vegka. A
card will a 'L' on it was could at the blast site, the calling card of
The Lyaski Foundation.
Lyre's eyed even widen, now even in true disbelief. Lyre started to
speak in a shaking voice, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Minster Laden was been
murdered by The Lyaski Foundation. Ah, there was only one survivor, a
General Vegka. I am now entitled to inherit both Hemispheres." There
was a gasp in the room, as a wave of shock overthrew them all.
The man who handed the slip of paper to Lyre was now holding a large
scroll, The Ancestral Right.
Lyre stared to think in his head, "Now the real fun begins."
Lyre took the scroll and read it out load and finished with a
statement, "I know understand my rights and I shall not misuse them. I
King Lyre will serve as the controller of the entire earth and all
space colonies. I am now the entity known as Emperor Lyre."
