FINAL GOODBYE

"I really used to love you, Jason," said Kelly, as a tear escaped from her eye.
"But I can't keep holding on to the past. Things were really over between us a long time ago, long before now."
Their relationship had always been rocky. Something kept pulling them back together, but then they'd end up wanting to tear each other apart.
Kelly paused, then laughed. "Well, this is typical, isn't it? You used to say I could talk for the country, while you never really said much;
you just listened. Or so I thought, anyway; before I learned that what I said to you went in one ear and straight out of the other."
Kelly sighed. "So, this is really it. It really is over now. No more making up, or making each other angry. We clashed Jason. But I cared about you, so much. I hope you knew that."
She smiled though she felt like bursting into tears. She felt like she had to be strong.
"Goodbye, sweetheart," said Kelly. "I hope you find peace. I really do."
Kelly placed a red rose on Jason's chest, inside of his coffin.
