You were as fresh as clean water,
On a crisp and cool autumn's day.
You were as fresh as just baked bread,
Placed on a freshly cleaned new tray.
You were as fresh as an apple,
Recently picked and rinsed greatly.
Like a thoroughly washed bed sheet;
You were such a fresh thing to me.
But then you left me all alone,
Which filled me with an intense pain,
And since then you've become as fresh,
As a twenty year old piss stain.
