And two of them were searching for lost souls

She ran down to the ocean
Sliding over the valleys
Slipping through the cracks
Swirling her feet through the sand
Stepping softly into the waves
The foamy lips licked her ankles
And the salty sea steadily rose higher and higher
He saw her from the mountain top
Clawing over boulders
Climbing into the tallest trees
Crackling of twigs beneath his step
Caressing the twilight cashmere sky with his finger tips
The pine needles prickled his ankles
And the sticky sap steadily rose higher and higher
They had lost each other long ago
And now they're searching for lost souls
And though separated for eternity
Oceans wait at the edge of the world
And woods root in the center
Never to meet, Mother Nature harbors no pity
But her eyes sparkle at night when you look across the sea
She winks at the heavens and waves a gentle greeting
And though standing firm and tall
She can make him weak and he sways in reply
Moved by the silent sovereignty of her grace
A melody reverberates through his core in circles
And they dance together like this
Even thought they are miles apart
