ANGELS
You can never actually see them,
But you can be sure that they are there.
You see them in the smiles of others;
In the way they laugh and the way they care.
You see the work of angels
In every tiny place,
The smile and laugh of a homeless man
And the look upon his face.
The greeting of a stranger
When you're feeling at your worst.
The happiness of a black prisoner;
Laughing so hard she could burst.
The woman at the bus stop
And the man who said 'good luck'.
The person who rescues the butterfly
From the cobweb where she was stuck.
Angels come in the form of love;
In the colours and textures of skies;
The love in the miracles that happen
And the love in your lovers eyes.
