Clown Shoes Blues by J.B. Pravda
The Board of Directors of Bozo's Big Top Purveyors, Inc. was in dire
straits, faced with a parade of horribles for options: the bank had
called in its note, alleging that the overly large inventory of clown
shoes pledged as collateral was no longer adequate to secure the
company's loans; Chairman Anthony Newley,Jr. suddenly lept to his feet,
slamming his forehead, crying "What kind of clown am I?", announcing
that with a mere phone call to some influential Congressmen he could
dispose of the entire supply, pay off the bank and commission the new
Spring line of Wacky Wingtips after all.
