Hadrian's Envy
Like unto the lines of Nazca, though stout at yesteryear, his unmann-ed
Wall, but a faint echo of deeds mighty&;#8230;..and so with his
spare Londinium; yet, today, never so bold as when similarly bared of
person, the seat of virtual Europa's rebirth today, surviv-ed
impervious to Hitlerian hellions and terroristic
tauntings&;#8230;..serenely She wears the fog as gossamer raiment,
yea, splendid in Her subdued gleamings, spired and towered as never
before.
And on the dawn's breaking, sends forth Her pale fortitude, enshrin-ed
by St. Paul's longevity, Bridge's majesty and The City's beckoning
steely finger toward new heights. Blair's millennial promise ushers in
on stealthy 'cat's feet' the Awakening of Viking within, temper-ed by
leadership's thorny crown.
Hail Brittanic dawn, given only to John Dee to see at her launching
upon a sea of world tranquility, to Be.
