Overgrown
So many long years have passed,
Trees have grown and become overgrown,
too many
times I have slipped on our mossy path,
Tender kisses of
sweet love now have no name,
Long nights have come and gone
again,
The thrills of life begin to need accentuating,
Your soft touch now just seems patronising,
What
used to seem adventure,
Now just a useless venture,
All you speak are harsh words of censure,
Your warm
embrace replaced by a cold bed,
And I with no tears left to
shed,
A cold air floods my empty house,
When you
left me you didn't even slam the door.
