Blind Faith

BLIND FAITH
Blind faith
Take me in your arms.
Being blind,
You will not see the agony
Hopes and dreams
Shelter me
Amidst the beams
Of your attic lined with toys.
Ignorance
Come and find me once again.
Lead me back
To your blissful den.
Or illness, even,
Will you not make me lie down?
Administer a million ghastly fluids
To help me drown.
Joy,
Please leave me
Well alone.
Yours is but a fickle home
A castle built up in the sky,
A dazzling light,
A sudden high.
But then, then it starts to rain
And whipped cream white clouds turn to stone grey
And then begin to fall away
As rain, cold, wet
And to the ground
I hear the scream and that other sound,
The nausea welling up inside
From the pit of my belly.
It covers the flesh outside.
