She held his hand with awkward ease
And brightened her smile for the audience.
They asked her questions meant to tease
Which she refused, not keen on setting precedents.
But when it came to the crunch (soon after)
And they, exasperated, cried "Why not?"
She said she hadn't felt enough
To merit all their fuss.
