EYE CANDY
The door opened I scurried into a run,
Exhaustion nearly felled,
My legs felt numb.
Blinded by dishonesties of the past,
I stop to gain breath,
Hoping it would be my last.
She had ecstasy eyes,
Such sculptured thighs,
Inside my heart eternally cries.
I'd lost my cunning,
And a will to try,
A blubbering mess but I couldn't cry.
Those fingers caused shivers,
Clenched anger that quivers.
Things you said,
Spear right through my head.
Will she leave me will she go,
So many questions I didn't know.
Leaving it too late she's forgotten me now,
Still it's my biggest mistake,
One fatal row.
I see her walking down the street,
Gentle sway of her hair,
Gentle tap of her feet.
But this time she is with another man,
That's why I scurried that's why I ran.
Its time to cut the hangman's noose,
I didn't want to spend my life in a dead mans shoes.
