the cursed race

We are all cursed beings.
From the day we are born to the day that we die,
we must live in either fear or harmony.
Yet the fear no matter how strong will always remain.
Our curse is that we remember the fear.
For some it is so strong that it drives the mind mad.
For others though, it is just a memory in the corner
of the mind hidden and dormant, but nevertheless still there.
No matter how hard we may try to forget it, it will always
remain there, a fragment of our past. The past, you see,
is something that men try to block out.
Yet it makes up their souls and beings.
Thus, we are cursed beings. Beings that are slaves to
one master. Life. No matter how hard we may try to
struggle from its clutch, it will always hold onto us.
Our struggles give it power. The power to overcome
us at anytime. I do not say that what I learned was
satisfying. It can never be. Instead it will always be
a fragment in my mind which I will seek an eternity
to block out. For I know the truth.
We are all cursed beings. Beings without the will to live.
For it is not our decision whether to live or die. It is Life’s.
It chooses whether to take its breath away or to let it remain.
It makes us think that we have a choice in our decisions.
But we are all cursed beings. No matter how hard we
struggle from our fate, we must face it. Sometimes we
prevail, but that isn’t because we were strong and beat
the system. No, it is because Life saw a potential in our living.
It gives us back our breath. Those who prevail to save
themselves are better off being dead. Of course the same
goes to those who prevail for others. For they do not know
that Life is waiting, waiting to suck their will. For a day never
goes by without suffering. We may not feel it, but it is always there.
A constant reminder that what we do is in vain.
We are cursed beings. Our fates are sealed.
No matter how hard we try to block the fact
from our mind, we must realize the book is
not unwritten. It is detailed and factual.
We must seek our fate out and embrace it.
It is not to us to seek freedom for our souls.
And yet we still do. For we do not realize the
impact of the life we live. For no matter how
small and insignificant it is it still gives power
and strength to the Master Life. We can try to
hide and strive to change the truth. But it still remains.
We are cursed beings. Not one of us can run and
hide from that fact. Each day we suffer and each
day we die. Each moment we live a lie.
We may try to break the curse but realize we cannot.
Life tells us that we are alone and no one can break it.
For isn’t it true that another must save you?
The hero saves others not himself. Because if he did,
then he would be selfish. And we must all strive to be
good people, those that are unselfish and kind.
The heroes of story were stupid and dumb.
Always fighting to save others, the did no realize
that they had worked into Life’s trap.
Save others and you will save your Master.
Save yourself and maybe the curse will be lifted.
For the curse is breakable. You need to break it
yourself though. Break it for you and not others.
Be selfish and you will succeed. If you intend to
live the dream you dream then be a hero. If on
the other hand you want to live a free life in all
the terms of true freedom, then be selfish.
But we will still be cursed beings.
For you see, true freedom means suffering.
True freedom means hatred.
True freedom means dying.
Dying a death of selfishness and greed.
A death so gruesome that hell itself will want to spit you out.
Then you’ll be free.
Free to live a life without Life. A life of death.
But in the end, you see, Death becomes your new master.
So then I guess, we’ll still be cursed.
Cursed to live for a master no matter what.
Rebel and die.
Live and suffer.
Either way you belong to someone else.
You belong to the curse of Reality.
