The day time stood still

THE DAY TIME STOOD STILL

On the day that time stood still
The world endured a bitter pill
the first crash was it a mistake
how could it happen? or is it fake?

the second crash my heart went cold
Is this real what we're being told?
a burning building and thousands of lives
no one knowing how many died

the hurt and anguise felt by most of the world
a sick madman lies laughin and curled
but is it over? have enough people died?
listening to the people and the tears that they cried

is it over can the world count the cost
news comes in more souls are lost
how many people have to be killed?
before the madman is happy and feels fulfilled

sickening scenes of arabs dancing in streets
cellabrating with joy and handing out treats
watching in disbelief i see
the cruelty of man how can this be?

thousands of lives wrecked in just hours
i see such a waste as the madman he cowers
my heart goes out to the people that died
and to all the loved ones they left behind
