A Desperate Time

Wide eyed and motionless he stands alone,
Surrounded in the forest by painful whispers.
A life long career of emptiness has battered a once strong
character,
And leaves the barriers of constraint to weaken and tumble.
From his face the rivers of sadness begin to flow down his
contours,
To reach by his feet the valley of unfulfilled needs.
Loneliness, when free from its chambers,
Spreads a darkened blanket over the innocent minds of the young.
Increasing in growth as time rolls on.
No direction, leaving the soul to be lost in emotional oblivion,
Where there is no return from the solitude of ones' own making.
Forever blind to the world and its misgivings,
Forever longing for the love that never was.
