Dying For You

Perfection means nothing to today's generation
A lack of self-judgements, a refused demonstration
But a longing for recognition, fuelled by desire
It's wicked smile always starts the fire
Loving's not easy to come by, so rare
All it takes is a spark, to grow to a flare
And then Fate takes control, my heart in your hands
Compare death to this; not much goes to plan
To love is to live
My breath stopped through fear
Alone for so long, why can't you be here?
Been dying for you, yet you couldn't care less
To feel skin, taste your blood, my fingers caress ...
My memories are locked away so you cannot reach them
You've taken all I've wanted, now you shan't breach them
It's not fair that you always have to have your own way
All I've ever wanted is to convince you to stay
And I always forgave you, when you wronged me
Now you've shown me what that meant, as I am so lonely
Stop making me cry, I've spilt all my tears
What I did once cherish is now one of my fears
To love is to live
My breath stopped through heartbreak
To kill for this feeling, 'I'm sorry, you're too late'
To feel skin, taste your blood, my fingers caress ...
I'm dying for you, and you couldn't care less
If I beg for release, will you grant it me please?
Or will your smile keep me here, lost and drowned, on my knees?
I've cried and I've screamed
And I've bled through my dreams
And suddenly all is not as it seems
Need to love, need to feel, need to spread Wings and Fly
Must convince myself that I can see the sky
I lie here dying for you, I realise how love hurts
This really is agony, it couldn't be much worse
If you wanted me, you'd keep me
But you didn't, so free me
I really can't afford to spill this blood so freely ...
- "If you love me, you'll write my name in a circle. Because hearts can
be broken, but circles go on forever."
