Misdirected thoughts,
By societies changing
patterns.
Selling all the people short,
With so
many false attractions.
Children learn to play,
In darkened alleyways.
All those deadly games,
Which lead the young astray.
Whizzing
through their lives,
Visions blurred by speed.
This
relentless need for power,
Has sown their future seed.
One more missing person,
Placed on the
growing pile.
As another parent prays,
For a chance
to reconcile.
Look at daddy's little girl,
Plying her trade at darkened doors.
Her ever
increasing crack addiction,
She needs more tricks to score.
Once innocent faces,
Now placed in body
bags.
A trail of bloody baths,
Morgues filled with
nameless tags.
So many of the children,
Trying to be, what they're not.
And soon they're
six foot under,
Or ashes in a pot.
They're societies misdirected people,
In a world
filled full of wealth.
But will the men in suits take action?
Have they compassion within themselves?
