FUTURE YESTERDAY

There is a disquieting silence,
Strong desires drift uneasily amongst the wind,
Forgotten dreams, sadly lacking worth.
And I stand very much alone, on the edge of existence.
Time passes with vague recollection, moments undefined.
I'm hiding under a cloak, on a silent street going nowhere,
Faint whispers of a forgotten desire.
The summer season that disappeared so swiftly,
Stretches far away, a dying significance, a meaning lost.
The days, defined my moments, the moments frozen, framed and placed in
an eternal Library of love. They gather dust and there is no one to
blow away the dull aching.
The glimmer of sunlight, flickers, falters; its soft glow has
disappeared.
Tomorrow brings an unsteady promise that bears nothing but empty
branches blowing In the wind. The fruit of yesterday lie rotten on the
floor.
Reality blinds your spirit, until you stop looking, living as an empty
being, feeding off Others lives, wishing for a road out of a sleeping
town.
Nothing passes, nothing ever arrives, and nothing ever leaves.
You live, hoping for a future yesterday.
