Goodbye

'Goodbye'

Minutes earlier I had been in floods of tears.
But now, as I walked down the street, something amazing happened:
I felt a switch CLICK !
This was IT !
All those months of waiting and I was finally on my way !
There was a definite shift - like a train switching tracks.
My mind swapped feelings of nostalgia and sadness with positivity and
optimism.
I had things to do, currency to change, transport to arrange? no TIME
for dwelling on things.
I had to move on? and I was !

I could see the ocean on the horizon.
And the sun shone.
