Hate Shatters

Glass shatters
Tiny crystals
Glitter in the sun.
A window has been broke.
A jagged hole lets in the cold.
The glass is soon replaced, and all's well.
Glass shatters
A glass is dropped.
Liquid floods the floor.
Leaving a stain to clean.
Bare feet are cut on splinters.
Another glass is bought, and all's well.
Love shatters
Hearts are broken
Tears possess the soul.
But lovers come and go
Hearts will heal in given time.
Love is found once again, and all's well.
Hate shatters
Razor-sharp, cold.
Shards fly, embedded
Into hearts and feelings.
Friendships can't be replaced
Feelings can't be re-ignited,
Not without forgiveness to make things well.
