Shouted come back
Pleaded for another chance
To change something

But you were already gone
On your way
To deliver my message
Show up my incompetence

I thought with inspiration
Pressing hard on the back button
That had lured me into a false sense of security
Made me believe no mistake could go uncorrected

But off went my message
Into cyberspace
Where I could not follow
But look impotently on
Thinking nostalgically
On the good times when memos were hand written
And messengers all too easy to chase
