i saw you

when i saw you, if only for a minute

i knew my life, without you, was finished
and so, i
waited for you to come round.

let's pretend we
don't know one another,
that i don't get evils from your
mother
when i see her down town.

the
truth i want to say becomes wrong
unless i say it in a poem
or a song
so this needs written down.
